I took a 5-day ski trip with my students in the Krkonose mountains in northern Czech Republic. It was an unbelievable weekend of skiing, sledding, card games, music and conversation. Boris, a close friend and teacher at my school was also on the trip... but he was taking the picture, so you can't see him.

My students liked me so much, they built a snowman in my likeness.

Boris and I played a ton of music for the students. Boris's forte is traditional Czech songs, while I tend to excel in the area of U2, Oasis, and John Denver. A strong combination, in my opinion.

I spent Thanksgiving this year with 50 other American English teachers in a hotel in the small town of Hodonin on the border of Czech and Slovakia. This is the big dinner.

I ate my turkey dinner at a table of 4 close friends. From the left are: Hayley, myself, Joel, Emily and Trent. Either we were really hungry or the meal hadn't yet arrived when this picture was taken.

During a traditional game of Thanksgiving football, I hit my friend Bethany in the face with my head. Turns out this was a bad idea.
